The Thannerstrasse apartments are located in the Gotthelf quarter of Basel - one of the smallest residential districts of Basel. The quarter is well known for its distinctive buildings and its lack of traffic. The traffic flows mainly around the neighborhood and so the streets in Gotthelfquartier remain rather quiet. Despite its low-traffic location, the Gotthelfquartier is incredibly central and in ideal distance to the Basel SBB train station as well as the city center, which are about a 20-minute walk away. With public transport, these places can be reached in 3-5 minutes. In the Gotthelfquartier there are many delicious bakeries, fine restaurants and small and large shopping stores.  The adjacent Schützenmattpark serves as a recreational area and offers great playgrounds for children and many seating options as well as a large lawn.
